Founded in 1986, the Service Board is a group of active, community-minded women. The Service Board meets monthly and sponsors Room With a View, its major fund raiser which has raised more than $800,000 to date. The proceeds of this fund raiser are allocated to several programs of Goodwill Columbus depending on the requests made by each program. For example, leather portfolios have been purchased for graduates of Battelle Career Center, vacations and travel for onsite residents, supplies for the Goodwill Art Studio & Gallery; the Service Board helps out with the "extras" for the participants. Additionally, members may volunteer directly with the staff and participants in the various programs.
