Founded in 1986, the Service Board is a group of active, community-minded women. The Service Board meets monthly and sponsors Room With a View, its major fund raiser which has raised over $800,000 in the past 18 years. The proceeds of this fund raiser are allocated to several programs of Goodwill Columbus depending on the requests made by each program. For example, leather portfolios have been purchased for graduates of Battelle Career Center, vacations and travel for onsite residents, supplies for the Good Art Studio; the Service Board helps out with the "extras" for the participants. Goodwill Living is a committee within the Service Board that does room makeovers for the residents. Additionally, members may volunteer directly with the staff and participants in the various programs. We attend graduations to show our pride and support to Battelle Career Center graduates and bake and supply food for the graduation receptions.
