Maintenance Worker
Compensation:$10.61-11.61/Hour
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm. Overtime as required and 24-hour on call status.
Summary:
Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance to all off-site buildings and equipment including electric, plumbing, painting, light bulb and ballast replacement and repairs. Responsible for mowing, trimming, snow removal, and salting..
Qualifications:
  • High school graduate with a minimum of 2 years experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Must have working knowledge of building construction, plumbing, and electrical circuits.
  • Must have protective footwear that complies with ANSI 241-1991.
  • Must be able to safely operate a forklift and pass certification.
  • Must have the ability to perform labor-intensive work including bending, stooping, reaching, and carrying and the ability to lift 75 lbs.

Retail Associate

Summary:
Work in thrift store displaying processed goods on the sales floor and providing excellent customer service. Must process donated goods while meeting production quotas. Greet customers and act as dressing room attendant, cashier, and help donors with donations.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to function independently in a work setting.

    Summary:
    Coordinate all daily operations of housekeeping/janitorial contract including training, manpower allocation, record keeping, quality control, inventory control, and other related assignments.
    Qualifications:
    • 2 to 4 years experience as a janitor or housekeeper with supervisory experience.
    • Requires ability to schedule and direct daily work assignments.
    • Proven ability to effectively communicate and work with people; ability to follow instructions and work independently.

    Onsite Residence Specialist
    Compensation: $9.82-11.04/Hour
    Hours: Vary depending on availability
    Summary:
    Provide training, supervision and direction to adults with mental retardation/developmental disabilities in the activities of daily living. Insure individuals live in a positive atmosphere and act as a role model for appropriate behaviors.
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED; plus one year direct Human Services training or experience, preferably in mental retardation/developmental disabilities field; or completion of State Tested Nurses Aid (STNA), Certified Nurses Aid (CNA), or Home Health Aid (HHA) Certification plus training.
    • Must have the ability to provide therapeutic interventions during crisis situations.
    • Must have or complete within one month of hire: Crisis Intervention, CPR, First Aid, and Fire Safety. Lapse of these requirements may result in loss of job.

    Summary:
    Provide nursing care and skill training to adults with MR/DD. Follow all care as ordered by physician. Insure that programming and treatment takes place within a positive atmosphere. Foster adult like behavior and act as a model for appropriate behaviors. Monitor meals to insure individuals receive diets according to menus and dietary needs.
    Qualifications:
    • State licensed LPN with State approved pharmacology certification.
    • Must have CPR and First Aid certifications.
    • Must have physical ability to assist with lift or transfer of individuals weighing in excess of 100 lbs. Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs. occasionally and 10-20 lbs. frequently.
    • Must have the ability to provide therapeutic interventions during crisis situations.
    • Administer medications and treatments, and provide nursing care as prescribed. Initiate and implement treatment, and follow up for individual health care needs.
    • Provide training to individuals in activities of daily living and matters of health and hygiene.
    • Knowledge of how to complete support documentation such as incident reports, work orders, shift log, purchase requisitions and within stated time frames.

    Assistant Nursing Administrator
    Compensation: $18.63-20.96/Hour
    Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:30 pm. On-call and special coverage as needed. Act as an on-call for medical emergencies, on-call in absence of Nursing Administrator.
    Summary:
    Provide nursing care and skills training to adults with MR/DD. Take individuals to doctor’s appointments and schedule in-house services. Assist Nursing Administrator in assuring continuity and quality of nursing/medical services. Assist with emergency room visits, care on the floor of the residents, including medication passes, care of adaptive equipment and medical appliances. Responsible for the supervision of the nurses, including scheduling, quality assurance, and training.
    Qualifications:
    • State licensed RN with state approved pharmacology certification.
    • Experience working with individuals with MR/DD preferred.
    • Must have a demonstrated ability to organize tasks, manage crisis situations and provide direction and leadership for other staff.
    • Must complete Fire Safety and Crisis Intervention within one month of hire.
    • Requires ability to lift up to 25 lbs, ability to assist with lifting and transferring individuals weighing in excess of 100 lbs.
    • Ability to provide therapeutic interventions during crisis situations required.
    • Must be willing to submit to and pass criminal background check, drug test, TB test, and reference checks as required by state and federal guidelines for residential programs.

    ~Sage Senior Services - Crosswoods~

    Personal Care Specialist
    Compensation: $9.81-$11.04/Hour
    Hours: Monday-Friday Fulltime 1st Shift, 8:00 am-4:30 pm
    Summary:
    To assist Sage Senior Services Crosswoods participants with personal care and to assist during group activities and community trips. Complete support documentation such as Medical or Behavioral Incident Reports, Progress notes etc.
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma, plus 1 or more years experience with older individuals (preferably with MR/DD) required.
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 100 lbs.
    • Must pass Abuser Registry and Ohio Nursing Registry checks.
    • Ability to assist individuals who require assistance transferring from wheel chairs to the toilet or bedpan.
    • Willing to assist with feeding participants who require help.
    • Must be able to assist with instruction of the participants for the purpose of achieving basic skills, personal, social, and community skills.

    ~Work & Behavioral Services~

    Departmental Secretary
    Compensation: $10.40-11.70/Hour
    Hours: Monday-Friday, 22.5 hours per week. 3:30 pm-8:00 pm
    Summary:
    Complete various support duties including photocopying, typing, mailings, filing, switchboard coverage and processing incident reports, as requested by Program Director and Managers. Answer phones, take and deliver messages and maintain open lines of communication with and among all staff.
    Qualifications:
    • Must be a high school graduate with business college or equivalent work experience.
    • Must pass and maintain CPR and First Aid courses.
    • Must have the ability to provide therapeutic interventions.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office required, with ability to process medium to complex documents and databases.
    • Must pass Abuser Registry check and Ohio Nursing Registry check.

    Supported Living Specialist
    Compensation: $9.50/Hour and **$11.50/Hour for On-Call Floaters**

    Summary:
    Provides training, supervision, and direction to adults with MR/DD in their activities of daily living. Implement and accurately document services according to the ISP, including assuring health and safety and consumer’s nutritional , medical, financial, and social needs are met.
    Qualifications:
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • 1 year of Human Services training or experience (preferably in the MR/DD field) or 2 years Human Relations experience or completion of State Tested Nursing Aid.
    • Must have valid Ohio Driver License, access to personal vehicle and auto insurance.
    • Must be able to assist in housecleaning, money management, shopping, recreational outings.
    • Ability to assist with lift/transfer individuals weighing in excess of 100 lbs. Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs. occasionally; 10-25 lbs. frequently.
    • Ability to provide therapeutic interventions during crisis situations.
    • Must be able to pass Medication Certification and Task Specific Delegation as required.
    • Must be able to physically administer CPR/First Aid and receive certification.

    Services Manager

    Summary:
    Responsible for the efficient operation of the program implementation component of the program through the supervision of the Training Specialists. Plan, coordinate, develop, and facilitate individualized plans for adults with MR/DD and other diagnoses. Responsible for ensuring that a cohesive, safe, and productive environment exists for participants, staff, and visitors. Advocate in the participant’s best interests in accordance with the client rights. Responsible for ensuring that a balance exists between production needs and individualized program requirements.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education or related field plus 2 years experience working with individuals with MR/DD.
    • 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
    • Experience with and knowledge of behavior interventions preferred.
    • Knowledge of active treatment, self determination, and person-centered planning preferred.
    • Knowledge of production, safety, and quality assurance preferred.
    • Ability to encourage and enhance involvement from participant’s team members.
    • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office required.

    ~Workforce Development at Battelle Career Education Center~

    Program Coordinator/Primary Instructor Nurse Aid Training Competency Evaluation Program (TCEP)
    Hours: Monday-Friday, generally 7:30am-4:30pm
    Summary:
    Responsible for overall administration and accountability of Nurse Aid TCEP which includes being accessible to the primary instructors and trainees whenever the program is in operation. Ensure that the program is in compliance with the Ohio Department of Health Nurse Aid Training and Competency Evaluation Program standards and guidelines. Work with area nursing facilities to arrange clinical sites for students. Work with staff to facilitate job placement upon successful completion of the course.
    Qualifications:
    • Current, valid license to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse issued under Chapter 4723 of the revised code.
    • Minimum of two years nursing experience as a licensed registered nurse or has a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or a Doctorate in Education or a currently valid vocational education certificate for teaching health occupations issued by the Ohio Board of Education
    • Sixteen hundred (1600) hours of direct care experience in a long-term care facility required.
    • Successful completion of Train the Trainer, a training program for Program Coordinators and Primary Instructors of TCEP preferred.
    • Must be skilled in developing and conducting training programs and work assessments and must have knowledge of learning principles and training techniques.

    Employment Services Specialist
    Hours: Monday-Friday, generally 8:00 am-5:00 pm
    Summary:
    To recruit individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment who want/need to work and facilitate their successful employment and job retention by 1) assessing their skills and abilities, 2) developing trusting relationships, 3) developing strategies to reduce or remove barriers to employment, 4) teaching and encouraging appropriate soft skills, 5) facilitating the development of appropriate job search tools, 6) forming relationships with local employers, employment-related organizations, and social services agencies, 7) matching qualified participants to open positions, 8) marketing qualified participants to employers, 9) facilitating participant’s successful job entry, and 10) providing support and coaching to ensure job retention.
    Qualifications:
    • Master’s Degree in Human Services, Business, Human Resources, Education, or Rehabilitation Counseling or the equivalent combination of education and experience to include a minimum of two years of experience in Workforce Development, Outplacement, Recruitment, or Vocational/Rehabilitation Counseling.
    • Must have knowledge of the local labor market and experience with the development of competitive job search tools is required.
    • Sales or marketing background is a plus.
    • Working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act is required.
    • Ability to utilize creative problem solving approach when facilitating successful job matches and retention. Develop trusting relationships with participants to ensure open lines of communication. Maintain frequent contact with employer and participant after hire to offer support and address any problems or obstacles that might prevent job retention.
    • Must have a valid Ohio Driver License, auto insurance, and be insurable on company vehicles.
       
    Case Manager
    Hours: 40 hours minimum, typically Monday-Friday 7:30 am-4:30 pm.
    Summary:
    In conjunction with the Rehabilitation/Interdisciplinary Team, plan, implement, coordinate, and monitor individualized progress of participants involved in Rehabilitation programs. Provide orientation and appropriate planning for participants in cooperation with referring counselor and other pertinent individuals and agencies. Co-facilitate a variety of classes to assist participants in understanding and modifying their work ready behaviors/attitudes. Write and assemble timely reports detailing participant’s progress, adjustments, and performance during programming and at program completion.
    Qualifications:
    • Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling plus one (1) year experience; will consider equivalent education and experience in educational/vocational/employment areas ex: BA/BS Human Services, Counselor Education, Psychology, Social Work, Technical Education with two (2) years experience in working with individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment.
    • Skills and knowledge of behavioral planning and intervention required.
    • Must be able to use independent discretion and judgment to insure consumer driven professional/therapeutic service delivery.
    • Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Professional Counselor, or Licensed Social Worker preferred.
    • Must have or obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.
    • Must have a valid Ohio Driver License, auto insurance, and be insurable on company vehicles.
       

    ~Supported Living~


    Supported Living Lead Manager
    Hours: Primarily Monday-Friday 10:00 am-6:30 pm. Must be flexible and work additional hours as required by the position. On-call for staffing and problems arising with individuals in Supported Living Services.
    Summary:
    To ensure the provision of quality, person-centered, personal, social and community services is in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines. Provides direct supervision and on-going feedback to Supported Living Managers. Coordinates Supported Living Services to individuals living in the community. To encourage and enhance the involvement of guardians, family, community, and other service providers.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field or equivalent experience considered.
    • At least one (1) year experience in working with individuals with MR/DD required, LSW preferred.
    • Prefer two (2) years experience working with individuals with MR/DD to be eligible to provide Limited Program Specialist Services.
    • Must have ability to provide therapeutic inventions during crisis situations and to effectively communicate with both verbal and non-verbal individuals.
    • Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
    • Must take and pass Medication Certification and task specific delegation.
    • Must be willing and able to encourage and enhance involvement with guardians, families, community and other service providers.
